An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Naike in the 25th minute of play forced Carapaligüe's goalkeeper Korneliusz Brzeszczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Donato Eguen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Segundo Goiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Los rompe orto's zone, Donato Eguen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Goiz came out of the goal and Donato Eguen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Silvestre Gaur fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los rompe orto's protests and gave Silvestre Gaur a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Carapaligüe booed when Los rompe orto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Gaur didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Los rompe orto's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Eguen came free, but Segundo Goiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los rompe orto's Segundo Goiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Eguen in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half Carapaligüe were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
