Anastasio Dantel's late challenge caught a Mar Atlantic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mar Atlantic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BERMEJO the free kick. BERMEJO made a substitution. Ermegildo Quinten replaced Joaquin Behe. The supporters of BERMEJO booed when Mar Atlantic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Baladi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute Timoteo Bernad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermegildo Quinten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Tino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mar Atlantic defense, Ermegildo Quinten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodoro Tino. The Mar Atlantic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodoro Tino should have stopped the shot. A collision led to BERMEJO getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Cecilio Elixio hit a great ball. Honorio Mon's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Jacinto Panpili on his right side and into the goal. 34 minutes into the game it was 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ermegildo Quinten in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Tino saved Mar Atlantic from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hector Gartzi made a kick off. Teodoro Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Dantel in the 51st minute of play. Hector Gartzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ermegildo Quinten was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Maximiliano Mateus struck a weak shot in the 61st minute.
