The corner led MURO DE PIEDRA's Pablo Raymond to fire away a dangerous shot which Arturo Ardines despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Italiano's Hilario Rayman got a free kick in the 9th minute. Aitor Huenul struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Arturo Ardines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MURO DE PIEDRA. In the 18th minute, Artemio Francesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Carlos Dorio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Ardines was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Club Sportivo Italiano getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Hilario Rayman hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes MURO DE PIEDRA got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Hermon. Luisito Bikendi, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rogelio Claris kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Mariano Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Bonadona, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Club Sportivo Italiano's Luisito Bikendi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mariano Gonzalez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arturo Ardines made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Epifanio Gagriel sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Club Sportivo Italiano booed when MURO DE PIEDRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Dorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vinicio Hermon hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Carlos Dorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Ardines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Epifanio Gagriel made the kick off in the second half. Arturo Ardines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Gagriel in the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, MURO DE PIEDRA's Aitor Huenul sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Ardines narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aitor Huenul in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Ardines prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Italiano's Rogelio Claris got a free kick in the 86th minute. Arturo Ardines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Gagriel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Luisito Bikendi fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Sportivo Italiano's protests and gave Luisito Bikendi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, Club Sportivo Italiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Bikendi to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, MURO DE PIEDRA's Angelino Bakar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Italiano's Rogelio Claris got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
