After 2 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Bermudez. Chiche y Anto en el Cielo's Jorge Enetz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bogumil Kempka but with some difficulty. Justo Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Frias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Chiche y Anto en el Cielo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Ortle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justo Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Bento in the 7th minute of play. Justo Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Frias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Bento in the 14th minute of play forced Chiche y Anto en el Cielo's goalkeeper Justo Nel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Franco Frias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justo Nel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 20th match minute, Chiche y Anto en el Cielo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Otsando to maneuver through the defense. Chiche y Anto en el Cielo's Justo Nel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Bento in the 22nd minute of play. Justo Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Frias in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chiche y Anto en el Cielo's Moises Senio got a free kick in the 24th minute. Bogumil Kempka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Senio in the 27th minute of the match. Teodoro Bento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Justo Nel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Victorino Txaran came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Galatasaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Txaran couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Victorino Txaran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goalkeeper Bogumil Kempka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patricio Otsando. Justo Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Bento, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Teodoro Bento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Patricio Otsando dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bogumil Kempka, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Xavi Hernanes got free with Justo Nel in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute Victorino Txaran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Teodoro Bento made a precise shot to the right of Justo Nel. Chiche y Anto en el Cielo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 62 minutes into the match, Victorino Txaran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justo Nel. Chiche y Anto en el Cielo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victorino Txaran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chiche y Anto en el Cielo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chico Piola was slow to take the kick. During this time Galatasaray's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Teodoro Bento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chiche y Anto en el Cielo's Justo Nel did a great save. 76 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's Teodoro Bento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Justo Nel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Adolfo Ortle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 83 minutes, Teodoro Bento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Bento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Teodoro Bento notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Chiche y Anto en el Cielo's Justo Nel. Justo Nel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Justo Nel was a little too slow when Victorino Txaran got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 1-6. Galatasaray played a much better game than Chiche y Anto en el Cielo and deserved their victory. The Chiche y Anto en el Cielo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
