The penalty shot was made by Talat Başdemir, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of El fortinero's Ivan Cedro. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Talat Başdemir in the 17th minute of play forced El fortinero's goalkeeper Ivan Cedro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by El fortinero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Talat Başdemir was slow to take the kick. During this time DEPORTIVO CHINCHI's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Talat Başdemir almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El fortinero's Ivan Cedro did a great save. After 22 played minutes El fortinero got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Sol. In the 26th minute, El fortinero's Eulalio Martxot ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gonzalo Pedroso. DEPORTIVO CHINCHI were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over El fortinero's much stronger midfield.
