The crowd rose to their feet as El fortinero's Eulalio Martxot slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of German Lizbeth. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. 11 minutes into the game, Eulalio Martxot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. German Lizbeth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Martxot in the 15th minute of play forced Newells's goalkeeper German Lizbeth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Newells's Elvio Viviano got a free kick in the 16th minute. Eulalio Martxot took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised German Lizbeth. German Lizbeth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 22 minutes of play, El fortinero's Nicanor Micael made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. German Lizbeth was left in no man's land by his defense there! German Lizbeth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Errapel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Newells's German Lizbeth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Sol in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Eliseo Sol notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Newells's German Lizbeth. German Lizbeth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to El fortinero getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Eliseo Sol hit a great ball. If Eulalio Martxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Newells's zone, Eliseo Sol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. German Lizbeth came out of the goal and Eliseo Sol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. German Lizbeth made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Nicanor Micael sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Eulalio Martxot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, El fortinero's Ivan Cedro got control of the ball when Rogelio Ieltxu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Newells's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Martxot came free, but German Lizbeth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Eliseo Sol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but German Lizbeth was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. German Lizbeth came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by El fortinero's Eulalio Martxot. But to his dismay, Eulalio Martxot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 70 minutes into the match, Newells's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Micael came free, but German Lizbeth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Newells's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Martxot came free, but German Lizbeth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Cedro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Perrando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Lizbeth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Kimetz, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. German Lizbeth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eulalio Martxot's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Micael in the 93rd minute of play forced Newells's goalkeeper German Lizbeth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. El fortinero fully deserved thier win.
