The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pueblo's Gustavo Guillelmus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Pueblo from getting a goal against them. Gustavo Guillelmus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filomeno Maore in the 7th minute. Gustavo Guillelmus was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Eulalio Martxot capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eulalio Martxot really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Eliseo Sol sped through Pueblo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gustavo Guillelmus. After 15 played minutes El fortinero got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Sol. Ivan Cedro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fikri Özenli, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Ildefonso Maria hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gustavo Guillelmus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicanor Micael in the 28th minute. Gustavo Guillelmus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Kimetz in the 29th minute of play. Gustavo Guillelmus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Kimetz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saul Kimetz got free with Gustavo Guillelmus in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pueblo were furious when Dionisio Sanchez was red carded, 32 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Dionisio Sanchez kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Eliseo Sol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Guillelmus was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 38th minute Eliseo Sol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Guillelmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Pueblo's Gustavo Guillelmus got control of the ball when Eliseo Sol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pueblo's Gustavo Guillelmus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Kimetz in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Xerardo Baltanas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Cedro. El fortinero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xerardo Baltanas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Gustavo Guillelmus came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by El fortinero's Eliseo Sol. But to his dismay, Eliseo Sol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eulalio Martxot to make the kick off. The supporters of Pueblo booed when El fortinero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Kimetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Guillelmus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Sol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Ildefonso Maria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicanor Micael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Gustavo Guillelmus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Eliseo Sol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Guillelmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pueblo's Gustavo Guillelmus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Sol in the 73rd minute of play. Samuel Bittor kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pueblo's zone, Nicanor Micael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Guillelmus came out of the goal and Nicanor Micael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 79 minutes of play, El fortinero's Saul Kimetz made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Guillelmus was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Sol in the 87th minute of play forced Pueblo's goalkeeper Gustavo Guillelmus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes of play, El fortinero's Eliseo Sol made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Guillelmus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gustavo Guillelmus came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by El fortinero's Eulalio Martxot. But to his dismay, Eulalio Martxot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. El fortinero fully deserved thier win.
