The Newells fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that German Lizbeth should have stopped the shot. Nicanor Micael took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised German Lizbeth. German Lizbeth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. German Lizbeth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliseo Sol's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. German Lizbeth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Micael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Lizbeth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernabe Orzaize, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. German Lizbeth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Martxot, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Newells were furious when Elvio Viviano was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 89th minute, one of Newells:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Newells. The goalkeeper, German Lizbeth, was totally fooled by El fortinero's Froilan Errapel, who 92 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Nicanor Micael's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but German Lizbeth firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 98th minute, Eulalio Martxot reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of German Lizbeth. The goal made the score 0-13. The Newells fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. El fortinero were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
