German Lizbeth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 11 minutes into the match, Newells's goalkeeper German Lizbeth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Maule. Claudio Maule's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but German Lizbeth firmly grabbed it by the left post. German Lizbeth made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Claudio Maule sent off a good shot on target. When Jonas Policarpio fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newells's protests and gave Jonas Policarpio a yellow card for diving instead. Jonas Policarpio kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Santiago Perrando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clemente Francesco was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Clemente Francesco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santiago Perrando's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. German Lizbeth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmacio Olentzaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santiago Perrando was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Elena booed when Newells was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Lucado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Newells defense, Dalmacio Olentzaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of German Lizbeth. The Newells fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that German Lizbeth should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute Claudio Maule shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Lizbeth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Francesco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogelio Ieltxu in the 62nd minute. After 65 minutes Elena's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Santiago Perrando who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Santiago Perrando almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Elena's Clemente Francesco did a great save. 67 minutes into the game, Claudio Maule cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. German Lizbeth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. German Lizbeth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmacio Olentzaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. German Lizbeth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmacio Olentzaro in the 72nd minute of play. Jonas Policarpio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Clemente Francesco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Claudio Maule managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Maule was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. German Lizbeth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Maule in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Edelmiro Gonchan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Lizbeth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Marcos Pereyra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillermo Dimo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Bernardino Tonete didn't quite understand what happened when in the 87 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Newells's German Lizbeth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Gonchan in the 89th minute of play. Rogelio Ieltxu kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Clemente Francesco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Santiago Perrando showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 92 minute of play. With a little luck, Elena's Clemente Francesco got control of the ball when Rogelio Ieltxu tried to sneak it across the goal line.
