Filomeno Maore's late challenge caught a Tolosa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filomeno Maore helped the player get up and apologised. 11 minutes into the match, El fortinero's goalkeeper Ivan Cedro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jose Atauri. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Martxot in the 13th minute of play forced Tolosa's goalkeeper Isidoro Cerilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tolosa's Isidoro Cerilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Micael in the 15th minute of play. El fortinero's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Froilan Errapel in the 17th minute. The corner led El fortinero's Eulalio Martxot to fire away a dangerous shot which Isidoro Cerilo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Isidoro Cerilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Micael in the 18th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicanor Micael in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidoro Cerilo saved Tolosa from getting behind. Roque Osoitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, El fortinero's Froilan Errapel got a free kick in the 26th minute. Ivan Cedro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Osoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roque Osoitz scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Cedro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isidoro Cerilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Martxot in the 33rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Tolosa's Ivan Cedro threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roque Osoitz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Isidoro Cerilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Martxot in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Eliseo Sol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El fortinero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jose Atauri to strike the kick off in the second half. Tiburcio Francis kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Tolosa's Isidoro Cerilo got control of the ball when Nicanor Micael tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicanor Micaels short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Isidoro Cerilo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. El fortinero's Ivan Cedro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Osoitz in the 61st minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Tolosa's goalkeeper Isidoro Cerilo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicanor Micael. Filomeno Maore was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Tiburcio Francis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Cedro. El fortinero's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Tolosa's Isidoro Cerilo got control of the ball when Nicanor Micael tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicanor Micael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 77 minutes into the match, Tolosa's goalkeeper Isidoro Cerilo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicanor Micael. 85 minutes into the match, El fortinero's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Osoitz came free, but Ivan Cedro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Cerilo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Micael in the 88th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in El fortinero's zone, Jose Atauri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Cedro came out of the goal and Jose Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roque Osoitz struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ivan Cedro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tolosa. For all the effort they put into the match, the El fortinero players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tolosa.
