When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Alfonso Libertad took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Jairo Clodio to make any attempt to save it. Isidoro Evangelista hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Severiano Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Firman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Cóndores's Severiano Cordero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Cóndores from getting a goal against them. After having played for 95 minutes, Filiberto Cutberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
