The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Cirilo Sadurni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cachirulo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Virgilio Patxi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Haitz in the 9th minute of play. Cachirulo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cirilo Sadurni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Patxi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, Segundo Orlondon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Iratze was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Segundo Orlondon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Patxi came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Cachirulo FC's Cirilo Sadurni. But to his dismay, Cirilo Sadurni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 31 played minutes Paquidermo de Luxe got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Salamon. Virgilio Patxi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Domiku in the 32nd minute of play. Romeo Monico received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnaldo Iratze came out and tried to block the shot, but Romeo Monico slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 34th minute. When Romeo Monico came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Paquidermo de Luxe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Monico couldn't finish the play. After 44 minutes of play, Cachirulo FC's Braulio Domiku made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgilio Patxi was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cirilo Sadurni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Virgilio Patxi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cirilo Sadurni showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-4 in the 52 minute of play. Cirilo Sadurni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Patxi having to interfere. Paquidermo de Luxe's Evaristo Nayely was substituted for Paulo Gutxi. When Segundo Orlondon came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Paquidermo de Luxe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Segundo Orlondon couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Segundo Orlondon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnaldo Iratze was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Romeo Monico scored 4-4 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo Iratze, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paquidermo de Luxe's Benedicto Castel was substituted for Dalmacio Salamon. Virgilio Patxi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Braulio Domiku in the 65th minute. Arnaldo Iratze stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Segundo Orlondon's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cachirulo FC's zone, Segundo Orlondon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Iratze came out of the goal and Segundo Orlondon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Paquidermo de Luxe's Romeo Monico got a free kick in the 70th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Segundo Orlondon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-4. Arnaldo Iratze was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cachirulo FC's goalkeeper Arnaldo Iratze, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Virgilio Patxi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Sadurni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedicto Castel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes of play, Paquidermo de Luxe's Wilfredo Seme made it 7-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnaldo Iratze was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute Cirilo Sadurni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Patxi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Segundo Orlondon during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Segundo Orlondon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Braulio Domiku had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Patxi. Paquidermo de Luxe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braulio Domiku was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-5. Paquidermo de Luxe's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
