But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Sotil couldn't finish the play. Koštabona Fair Play's Froilan Caitano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fernando Eutor, made in the 35th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in LOS GUITRASOS's zone, Victorino Sotil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Manni came out of the goal and Victorino Sotil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Fernando Boni managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOS GUITRASOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Boni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leal Fox breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute Pablo Marino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leal Fox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pablo Marino was the one to do the kick off. Koštabona Fair Play's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Kusko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 62 minutes into the match, Koštabona Fair Play's goalkeeper Leal Fox had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Boni. In the 63rd minute, Tomás Dominguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leal Fox made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Marino in the 66th minute of play. Koštabona Fair Play's Leal Fox played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Marino in the 69th minute of play. Leal Fox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Matteo in the 72nd minute of the match. Vladimiro Manni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Sotil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Sotil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Manni having to interfere. Vladimiro Manni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Boni got free with Leal Fox in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The LOS GUITRASOS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
