Jose Mogel kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Enrique Leoncio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aquiles Lapurdi. Dominico F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Leoncio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fulgencio Telesforo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aquiles Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Nesor in the 52nd minute of play. Fulgencio Telesforo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remigio Firmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquiles Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Nesor in the 60th minute of play. If Fulgencio Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Dominico F.C.'s Remigio Firmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaac Bittor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Dominico F.C.'s Aquiles Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Leoncio in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Milan Evita's zone, Alberto Marin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Bittor came out of the goal and Alberto Marin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Fulgencio Telesforo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaac Bittor was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Aquiles Lapurdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Leoncio, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Placido Nahia fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dominico F.C.'s protests and gave Placido Nahia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dominico F.C. getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Placido Nahia hit a great ball. Dominico F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
