Fulgencio Telesforo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Jay-Jay Mamonov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elvio Frederico hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Fulgencio Telesforo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jay-Jay Mamonov. The goal made the score 1-0. Fulgencio Telesforo in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jay-Jay Mamonov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 11 minutes into the match, Dominico F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Christian Brais came free, but Aquiles Lapurdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquiles Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Brais in the 13th minute of play. Dominico F.C.'s Aquiles Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Brais in the 14th minute of play. The Dominico F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Dominico F.C.'s Fulgencio Telesforo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Marcial Tanio put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aquiles Lapurdi. Aquiles Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Tanio in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Dominico F.C. booed when Bafana Bafana AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Brais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dominico F.C.'s Fulgencio Telesforo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Christian Brais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Lapurdi having to interfere.

The wind increased when Fulgencio Telesforo made the kick off in the second half. Christian Brais received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aquiles Lapurdi came out and tried to block the shot, but Christian Brais slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 51st minute. Jay-Jay Mamonov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulgencio Telesforo's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Aquiles Lapurdi made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Marcial Tanio sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Dominico F.C. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Felipe Cordeara hit a great ball. Marcial Tanio came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aquiles Lapurdi could save by the left post. Jay-Jay Mamonov came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Dominico F.C.'s Fulgencio Telesforo. But to his dismay, Fulgencio Telesforo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Aquiles Lapurdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Frederico, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Marcial Tanio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Aquiles Lapurdi made a huge save. Felipe Cordeara kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Christian Brais dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aquiles Lapurdi, 4-3. Elvio Frederico kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Fulgencio Telesforo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jay-Jay Mamonov was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. With 79 minutes on the clock, Jeronimo Ondino commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 97th minute, Marcial Tanio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aquiles Lapurdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-5. Although Dominico F.C. had been in control for most of the match, Bafana Bafana AFC still came away with the win.
