The Leones FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven-Olof Hellström should have stopped the shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camilo Basualdo was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Ceferino Iratze took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Sven-Olof Hellström to make any attempt to save it. Ceferino Iratze might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven-Olof Hellström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ceferino Iratze ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute, Jonathan Astudillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Jacinto Txatxu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sven-Olof Hellström, 0-13. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Goren got free with Sven-Olof Hellström in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Mechita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-14. Mechita's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
