Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marco Atauri started the match with the kick off. With an all-out effort, Carboncito FC's Luzaide Michel threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodri Dueñas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 7th minute Marcelo Salas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Sauveur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 9 minutes, Rodri Dueñas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carboncito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodri Dueñas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute Vilhelm Ranne suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Carboncito FC made a substitution. Atilano Naldo replaced Vilhelm Ranne. In the 12th match minute, Ezpeleta Oeste FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Gabon to maneuver through the defense. When Luis Osoitz came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Carboncito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Osoitz couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Paulino Abecia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luzaide Michel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Osoitz in the 18th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Luzaide Michel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luzaide Michel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodri Dueñas in the 26th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Roman Sarricolea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Sauveur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Osoitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Luzaide Michel made a huge save. Luzaide Michel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodri Dueñas, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Juan Carlos Corral fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carboncito FC's protests and gave Juan Carlos Corral a yellow card for diving instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natalio Clementi made a kick off. Ezpeleta Oeste FC's Luzaide Michel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodri Dueñas in the 53rd minute of play. Luis Osoitz scored 1-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luzaide Michel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luis Osoitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luzaide Michel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Atauri in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Justo Oxel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leo Sauveur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Sarricolea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Atauri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Luzaide Michel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Atilano Naldo fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carboncito FC's protests and gave Atilano Naldo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Carboncito FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Atilano Naldo hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Piri Vangioni put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Ezpeleta Oeste FC booed when Carboncito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piri Vangioni didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th match minute, Ezpeleta Oeste FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Salas to maneuver through the defense. Carboncito FC's Leo Sauveur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Sarricolea in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ezpeleta Oeste FC's zone, Luis Osoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luzaide Michel came out of the goal and Luis Osoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Mihai Zdrehuş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carboncito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihai Zdrehuş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Carboncito FC had won after a very even match.
