After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Javier Henric stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nove Van Nevel came out of the goal and Javier Henric tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Racing Club's Guaberto Abechuco fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Nereo Ferman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Abechuco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nove Van Nevel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Henric in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Lastenia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Abechuco came free, but Nereo Ferman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes Lastenia FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cecilio Bermudo who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Cecilio Bermudo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lastenia FC's Nereo Ferman did a great save. Nereo Ferman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Abechuco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Racing Club were awarded a corner. Cecilio Bermudo went to the cornerflag to take it. Racing Club's Cecilio Bermudo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nereo Ferman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Cecilio Bermudo got a free kick in the 21st minute. Altan Miro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Altan Miro in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nove Van Nevel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ivan Chus was slow to take the kick. During this time Lastenia FC's players had a chance to rest. Nove Van Nevel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Henric, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Cecilio Bermudo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Altan Miro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nove Van Nevel having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silban Zermeño during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Javier Henric to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Javier Henric hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Racing Club's Nove Van Nevel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Altan Miro in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Lastenia FC were awarded a corner. Ivan Chus went to the cornerflag to take it. Nove Van Nevel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Suero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the game, Lastenia FC's Urbano Suero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nove Van Nevel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Guaberto Abechuco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nereo Ferman was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Nove Van Nevel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Henric, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Racing Club's Nereo Ferman threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guaberto Abechuco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Silban Zermeño came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silban Zermeño couldn't finish the play. If Altan Miro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Racing Club's Nove Van Nevel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Altan Miro in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute Lastenia FC were awarded a corner. Ivan Chus went to the cornerflag to take it. Ivan Chus made a great header on Lastenia FC's corner, it was just that Racing Club's Nove Van Nevel managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 75th minute, one of Lastenia FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lastenia FC. Nereo Ferman had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Cecilio Bermudo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Cecilio Bermudo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nereo Ferman. Lastenia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cecilio Bermudo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Altan Miro struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Nove Van Nevel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lastenia FC. Racing Club made a substitution. Moises Felo replaced Guaberto Abechuco. Moises Felo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nove Van Nevel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Henric, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Nove Van Nevel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Altan Miro in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Henric came free, but Nove Van Nevel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
