An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Di Pietro in the 14th minute of play forced SEGUNDEAME CON LA GORDA's goalkeeper Isidoro Garci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Édouard Mendy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Garcia's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. But to his dismay, Emilio Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 35 minutes into the game, Emilio Garcia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Édouard Mendy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emilio Garcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Édouard Mendy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilio Garcia ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 40 minutes, Nuno Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SEGUNDEAME CON LA GORDA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Santarém was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emilio Garcia made a kick off. After 50 played minutes SEGUNDEAME CON LA GORDA got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Santarém. In the 51st minute, Garry Torpey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SEGUNDEAME CON LA GORDA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
