Spectators: 7396 (Terracing: 5696, Seating: 1550, VIP seats: 150) Cobos's Leonel Chesus started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Niceto Ascencio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stelian Apostol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. 3 minutes into the game, Niceto Ascencio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Stelian Apostol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stelian Apostol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Saverio Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Apostol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes Cobos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Santiago Piarres who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Santiago Piarres got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stelian Apostol quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Saverio Ferdinand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 20 played minutes Cobos got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Lidman. Stelian Apostol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Ascencio in the 21st minute of the match. Saverio Ferdinand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Stelian Apostol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cobos booed when El Fla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Piarres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cobos's Eustacio Turi got a free kick in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niceto Ascencio to strike the kick off in the second half. Patrick Lidman hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Saverio Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 minutes, Santiago Piarres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Fla and the Cobos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to El Fla getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Santiago Piarres hit a great ball. Santiago Piarres was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 69th minute, Niceto Ascencio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Fla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 74 minutes into the game, Niceto Ascencio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Stelian Apostol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niceto Ascencio got free with Stelian Apostol in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niceto Ascencio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Stelian Apostol made a huge save. Veniamin Tsakouridis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Lidman in the 83rd minute of the match. If Niceto Ascencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niceto Ascencio took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stelian Apostol. Stelian Apostol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.
