After a defensive mix-up in Tomasso FC's zone, Miguel Remicio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucio Fresco came out of the goal and Miguel Remicio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Tomasso FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Amador Raymond hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Anibal Herensuge took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lucio Fresco to make any attempt to save it. Anibal Herensuge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Lucio Fresco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Tomasso FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Nicanor Tonio hit a great ball. Nemesio Urdin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Carlomagno, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Miguel Remicio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 25th playminute. In the 29th minute Damian Carlomagno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemesio Urdin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Tomasso FC booed when Ayacucho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Domeka didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Anibal Herensuge sped through Tomasso FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lucio Fresco. Tomasso FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Anibal Herensuge scored to the left of an out of position Lucio Fresco, making the score, 6-0. Lucio Fresco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Herensuge in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Anibal Herensuge made the kick off in the second half. If Venancio Evarado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Miguel Remicio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ayacucho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 58 minutes into the game, Anibal Herensuge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Lucio Fresco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Tomasso FC defense, Anibal Herensuge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Fresco. The Tomasso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Fresco should have stopped the shot. Miguel Remicio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucio Fresco having to make a save. In the 68thth minute of the game Anibal Herensuge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tomasso FC's Lucio Fresco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 78th minute of the match Lucio Neto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucio Fresco skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Remicio in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucio Fresco saved Tomasso FC from getting behind. 83 minutes into the match, Tomasso FC's Leonel Ostargi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Ayacucho booed when Tomasso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Raymond didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute of the match Lucio Neto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucio Fresco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anibal Herensuge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Lucio Fresco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucio Fresco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Remicio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Ayacucho were the better team. Ayacucho's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
