An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Etxepare in the 10th minute of play forced Victoria's goalkeeper Maximo Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Eduardo Ermano made a precise shot to the right of Maximo Mingo. Victoria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Maximo Mingo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Etxepare, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to Victoria getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Amancio Bento hit a great ball. Faustino Asteri might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Mingo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustino Asteri ran back to his position shaking his head. Maximo Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Ignado in the 29th minute of the match. Eduardo Ermano kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Bogdan Cioculescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cornelio Rufio in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute Faustino Asteri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Faustino Asteri made the kick off in the second half. Maximo Mingo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Victoria's Silvano Vincent got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Victoria defense, Lázaro Ignado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Mingo. The Victoria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Mingo should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Victoria's Gaudencio Baristo got a free kick in the 87th minute.
