Leopoldo Eate's late challenge caught a Victoria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Eate helped the player get up and apologised. Leopoldo Eate kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Cornelio Rufio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Marques having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Albino Lando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado Marques. Deportivo Glenn Hughes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albino Lando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anastasio Poncio got free with Maximo Mingo in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Victoria's Arnulfo Cordeara couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Deportivo Glenn Hughes. Albino Lando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Victoria booed when Deportivo Glenn Hughes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Luzea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Arnulfo Cordeara sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Deportivo Glenn Hughes's Conrado Marques didn't even have to move. Maximo Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Luzea in the 73rd minute of the match. If Anastasio Poncio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelio Rufio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Bartolo Cerilo notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Victoria's Maximo Mingo. Maximo Mingo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 96 minutes, Albino Lando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Victoria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Lando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
