The supporters of Zarate unidos booed when Ruthian FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Santiago didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Cao Quan Lin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Beliran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fausto Osasun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Gilberto Suero had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Fausto Cefero fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 35 minutes into the match, Zarate unidos's Cao Quan Lin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonardo Beliran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Cao Quan Lin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Beliran was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Ben Francis charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ben Francis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cao Quan Lin was the one to do the kick off. Cao Quan Lin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Beliran having to make a save. Leonardo Beliran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cao Quan Lin in the 51st minute of play. Cao Quan Lin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cao Quan Lin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonardo Beliran. That made the score 0-1 in the 59 minute of play. A collision led to Ruthian FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Fausto Cefero hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, Delmar Berriotxoa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ruthian FC's Leonardo Beliran didn't even have to move. Cao Quan Lin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Beliran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Ruthian FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Cefero to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Beliran was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cao Quan Lin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Cao Quan Lin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 79th match minute, Zarate unidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Cao Quan Lin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Beliran having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Ruthian FC's Eriberto Santiago got a free kick in the 89th minute. Zarate unidos's Delmar Berriotxoa got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Ruthian FC's goalkeeper Leonardo Beliran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Bermund. When the match was over Zarate unidos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ruthian FC throughout the match.
