The coaching staff of Defensa y Justicia FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and David Mantzio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 53 minutes into the game, one of Defensa y Justicia FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 89th minute Nicasio Fonda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Silvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
