Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Leonardo Beliran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. David Banegas took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonardo Beliran. Leonardo Beliran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 26th match minute, Esmeralda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Otsando to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Beliran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicasio Fonda went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 33 minutes into the game, David Banegas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leonardo Beliran. David Banegas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Nicasio Fonda put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Leonardo Beliran. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zülfü Sungur got free with Leonardo Beliran in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonardo Beliran made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Banegas in the 41st minute. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, David Banegas put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Leonardo Beliran. In the 47th minute, Arturo Oso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicasio Fonda to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Banegas in the 65th minute of play forced Ruthian FC's goalkeeper Leonardo Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
