If Epifanio Tuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fábio Passos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Ulises Donostia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mauro Henry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Adilson Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guañizuil's Adilson Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Tuste in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Epifanio Tuste had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adilson Ribeiro. Adilson Ribeiro came out of the goal and Cristian Lehior tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Henry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adilson Ribeiro having to interfere. If Erasmo Gabrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calabria Norte's Cristian Lehior got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Calabria Norte fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Calabria Norte's Epifanio Tuste looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fábio Passos to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Mauro Henry took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Adilson Ribeiro to make any attempt to save it. Adilson Ribeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gaudencio Pasqual kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78thth minute of the game Epifanio Tuste who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guañizuil's Adilson Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guañizuil's goalkeeper Adilson Ribeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Mauro Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calabria Norte's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Henry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adilson Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Epifanio Tuste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adilson Ribeiro was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. 97 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Lope cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-15. Adilson Ribeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
