Laureano Fanuco ran back to his position shaking his head. 12 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Fanuco came free, but Victor Jakobe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PINCHA BALONES were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Racing Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rando Treimann took the corner. After taking down the ball on PINCHA BALONES's corner Rando Treimann fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victor Jakobe quite easily take care of the ball. Leopoldo Txordon charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 14th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Txordon to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Laureano Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Jakobe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Batistuta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Jakobe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Nicasio Corderro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Nicasio Corderro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Jakobe. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Jakobe should have stopped the shot. After 34 minutes, Laureano Fanuco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PINCHA BALONES and the Racing Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to PINCHA BALONES getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Laureano Fanuco hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the game, Marco Batistuta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victor Jakobe. Marco Batistuta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laureano Fanuco in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Jakobe saved Racing Club from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laureano Fanuco made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Papo. Nicasio Corderro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Laureano Fanuco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Jakobe was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The attack was good, but when Laureano Fanuco in the 74th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 83rd minute of the match Francisco Omero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victor Jakobe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 90th minute Marco Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Jakobe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Jakobe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Batistuta in the 91st minute of the match. In the 95thth minute of the game Laureano Fanuco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Victor Jakobe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marco Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PINCHA BALONES walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
