Carlos Gai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Silbestre's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After 32 minutes, Juan Saturnin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ALMAGRO JRS and the GMKE F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Baltasar Ihintza made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Honorio Ireno immediately put the ball in play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Carlos Gai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Silbestre, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 0-1 became the score in the 55th minute when Esteban Silbestre elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Saturnin in the 66th minute of play forced GMKE F.C's goalkeeper Albino Arnalt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of GMKE F.C booed when ALMAGRO JRS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Ireno didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to ALMAGRO JRS getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Filomeno Foro hit a great ball. In the 86th match minute, GMKE F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Maties to maneuver through the defense. Leon Diegotxe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albino Arnalt. GMKE F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edgard Santo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Honorio Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Albino Arnalt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GMKE F.C played a much better game than ALMAGRO JRS and deserved their victory. The ALMAGRO JRS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
