The tension between the John Wick and the Barrilete Cosmico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barrilete Cosmico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Goi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amador Otoniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvio Selatse in the 11th minute of the match. Tadeo Bernat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Mattin having to interfere. Juan Mattin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Goi's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. John Wick's Juan Mattin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Bernat in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes John Wick got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Lorencio. If Tadeo Bernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Adolfo Goi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Mattin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, John Wick's Anselmo Urtungo got a free kick in the 44th minute. Adolfo Goi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Juan Mattin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Goi, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Juan Mattin came out and tried to block the shot, but Adolfo Goi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 92nd minute. Barrilete Cosmico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
