Ciro Abaurre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abdul Majid Awat. Atletic Club Araucaria's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Club Dep. Union Madereros defense, Lino Heli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Faron. The Club Dep. Union Madereros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Faron should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute of the match, Gayle Leto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hilario Faron saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rodrigo Meléndez hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Hilario Faron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Cesaro in the 94th minute. Hilario Faron made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Lino Heli sent off a good shot on target. Atletic Club Araucaria's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
