The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaudencio Maldonado got free with Alonzo Louis in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Dolberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Louis having to interfere. Alonzo Louis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Maldonado, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute of the match Tapebicuá got a corner. Libertas Capitur F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arnoldo Ignazio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alberto Lucian came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Libertas Capitur F.C.'s Ruben Llorian. But to his dismay, Ruben Llorian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Venancio Cristos took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Lucian. Alberto Lucian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The attack was good, but when Cristian Dolberg in the 40th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Fidel Indartsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Louis having to interfere.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruben Llorian was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ruben Llorian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Lucian was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Virgilio Loi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Alonzo Louis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tapebicuá's Alberto Lucian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Llorian in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Virgilio Loi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alonzo Louis. Libertas Capitur F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgilio Loi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 62 minutes into the match, Virgilio Loi notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Libertas Capitur F.C.'s Alonzo Louis. Alonzo Louis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Dolberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Louis having to interfere. Alonzo Louis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Dolberg went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Tapebicuá were furious when Baltasar Franco was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Tapebicuá getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Baltasar Franco hit a great ball. Ovidio Atarrabi missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 75 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Alberto Lucian right hand side. In the 78th minute Ruben Llorian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Lucian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tapebicuá's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Venancio Cristos scored to the left of an out of position Alberto Lucian, making the score, 4-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Indartsu in the 86th minute of play forced Libertas Capitur F.C.'s goalkeeper Alonzo Louis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Dolberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonzo Louis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Alonzo Louis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Dolberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 95th minute, Cristian Dolberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tapebicuá fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-4. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tapebicuá fans cheered their team off the field, for while Libertas Capitur F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
