The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carolo Lorenz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Adan Bernaldo made a huge save. After 8 minutes Circulo Deportivo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Segundo Acosta who took care of the corner kick. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Hílton Salles sped through Circulo Deportivo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adan Bernaldo. After a rather tough play, El Torero's Aureliano Rocendo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Fabio Furman hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Sergio Goycochea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yao Bing in the 72nd minute. Yao Bing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yao Bing got free with Sergio Goycochea in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mario Egoi's late challenge caught a El Torero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Egoi helped the player get up and apologised. El Torero's Segundo Acosta got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A well-hit corner resulted in Yao Bing heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Hílton Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes Circulo Deportivo got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Suarez. In the 91st minute Hílton Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adan Bernaldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aureliano Rocendo went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Many of Circulo Deportivo's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Circulo Deportivo may have spent more time on the ball, but El Torero were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
