Fabio Gaitan came out of the goal and Abelardo Cristofor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raşit Uluman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fabio Gaitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Alberti's Abelardo Cristofor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabio Gaitan. That made the score 2-0 after 43 minutes of play. In the 47th minute, Deportivo Alberti's Abelardo Cristofor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
