Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ranquilcó AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thorleif Liebst was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sorocayense FC's Godfredo Sanchez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Sorocayense FC from getting a goal against them. Ranquilcó AFC played a much better game than Sorocayense FC and deserved their victory. The Sorocayense FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
