Msaed Al Najdi might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godfredo Sanchez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Msaed Al Najdi ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Sorocayense FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Abel Sanduru hit a great ball. Godfredo Sanchez was a little too slow when Lech Mindykowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 5-0. Lech Mindykowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godfredo Sanchez having to make a save. With a little luck, Sorocayense FC's Godfredo Sanchez got control of the ball when Lech Mindykowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lech Mindykowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Godfredo Sanchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Justin was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sorocayense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lech Mindykowski came free, but Godfredo Sanchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Lech Mindykowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranquilcó AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lech Mindykowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godfredo Sanchez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ranquilcó AFC booed when Sorocayense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Justin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ranquilcó AFC's Ezequiel Bernaldo got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Godfredo Sanchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Bernaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ranquilcó AFC's Lech Mindykowski got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Froilan Beti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Sanchez having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lech Mindykowski in the 72nd minute of play forced Sorocayense FC's goalkeeper Godfredo Sanchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godfredo Sanchez came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Ranquilcó AFC's Igor Teofilio. But to his dismay, Igor Teofilio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Sorocayense FC's Godfredo Sanchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lech Mindykowski in the 81st minute of play. Lech Mindykowski took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godfredo Sanchez. Godfredo Sanchez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Bernaldo in the 89th minute of play forced Sorocayense FC's goalkeeper Godfredo Sanchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ranquilcó AFC fully deserved thier win.
