But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Claris couldn't finish the play. 5 minutes into the match, Marga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Caetano came free, but Erubiel Veremundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavio Claris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Cresencio having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavio Claris in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Cresencio saved Champagne fc from getting behind. In the 34th minute, Lucas Moise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Marga FC defense, Hermengildo Quinito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erubiel Veremundo. The Marga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erubiel Veremundo should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ariel Castel was the one to do the kick off. Marga FC's Erubiel Veremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Caetano in the 55th minute of play. If Octavio Claris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Teo Iliana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Veremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavio Claris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Champagne fc's goalkeeper Ruben Cresencio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavio Claris. After having played for 76 minutes, Octavio Claris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Claris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Octavio Clariss short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Ruben Cresencio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 82 minutes into the game, Julio Valery recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruben Cresencio. Julio Valery showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Octavio Clariss short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Ruben Cresencio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Champagne fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Marga FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
