But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vadim Bečvář couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the game, Vadim Bečvář cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Hilario Mon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 14th minute Vadim Bečvář shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Mon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Beltrán Pergamino's Edward Fafinski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Mon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to Beltrán Pergamino getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Isaias Gaitan hit a great ball. Gaudencio Laurin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Savion in the 64th minute of play. If Ezequiel Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaudencio Laurin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Hever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Beltrán Pergamino's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The corner ended in Denis Quintyn almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Beltrán Pergamino's Gaudencio Laurin did a great save. Hilario Mon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vadim Bečvář's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Fafinski in the 81st minute of play forced C. A. Francisco Álvarez's goalkeeper Hilario Mon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C. A. After a rather tough play, Beltrán Pergamino's Mo Ping Ang got a free kick in the 96th minute. 97 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Garin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Francisco Álvarez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beltrán Pergamino the free kick. Beltrán Pergamino's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
