Prudencio Rocendo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Hartz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caiga Quien Caiga F.C's Eddy Gâteau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Lleir in the 14th minute of play. If Cristo Ostadar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Sansone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Menottielgrande's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caiga Quien Caiga F.C the free kick. In the 21st minute, Fulgencio Sansone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Txartiko hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Prudencio Rocendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Hartz in the 25th minute of the match. Caiga Quien Caiga F.C's Eddy Gâteau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Filip in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Cristo Ostadar made a precise shot to the right of Eddy Gâteau. Caiga Quien Caiga F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Menottielgrande booed when Caiga Quien Caiga F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Rodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Baldomero Lleir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menottielgrande's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomero Lleir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Menottielgrande's zone, Luciano Millan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prudencio Rocendo came out of the goal and Luciano Millan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romulo Hartz to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Caiga Quien Caiga F.C's Arsenio Ler got a free kick in the 51st minute. Jeronimo Vasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Menottielgrande fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Menottielgrande's goalkeeper Prudencio Rocendo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Caiga Quien Caiga F.C's Romulo Hartz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prudencio Rocendo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 66 minutes into the match, Caiga Quien Caiga F.C's goalkeeper Eddy Gâteau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Vasco. After having played for 68 minutes, Jeronimo Vasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menottielgrande's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeronimo Vasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raul Sergi charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raul Sergi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes Menottielgrande got a freekick which was hit by Raul Sergi. Caiga Quien Caiga F.C's Jaime Harri got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eddy Gâteau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomero Lleir in the 73rd minute. Jeronimo Vasco came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eddy Gâteau could save by the left post. Jeronimo Vasco hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Hartz in the 81st minute of play forced Menottielgrande's goalkeeper Prudencio Rocendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Menottielgrande would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
