In the 3rd minute German Tartalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sugar Saver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sugar Saver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Lobo in the 8th minute of the match. Ignacio Salamon hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If German Tartalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Tartalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sugar Saver having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Haritzeder during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to AVE FENIX getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Primitivo Haritzeder hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Aquiles Etxahun notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of AVE FENIX's Cosme Ihintza. Cosme Ihintza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. German Tartalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anastasio Hori struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Sugar Saver didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AVE FENIX. Cevher Cansefa kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Sugar Saver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Lobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sugar Saver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Tartalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Vélez's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasio Hori came free, but Sugar Saver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes AVE FENIX got a freekick which was hit by German Tartalo. Cosme Ihintza made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Ignacio Salamon sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when German Tartalo made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, German Tartalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AVE FENIX's supporters crossed their fingers, but German Tartalo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cosme Ihintza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Adán in the 54th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when German Tartalo got free with Sugar Saver in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, AVE FENIX's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Adán came free, but Cosme Ihintza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, German Tartalo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sugar Saver was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Primitivo Haritzeder was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Primitivo Haritzeder hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Cosme Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Adán in the 66th minute of play. Cosme Ihintza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aquiles Etxahun went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After 74 played minutes AVE FENIX got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Irrintzi. Cosme Ihintza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeo Terciero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Tadeo Terciero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cosme Ihintza. AVE FENIX's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tadeo Terciero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Ladislao Lobo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Anastasio Hori managed to get in a good position for a shot. AVE FENIX's supporters rose to their feet, but Anastasio Hori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sugar Saver breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ladislao Lobo came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the AVE FENIX fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Lobo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, AVE FENIX's Paolo Irrintzi got a free kick in the 87th minute. Cosme Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Salamon in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to AVE FENIX getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Placido Erasto hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Ignacio Salamon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Ihintza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AVE FENIX's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Vélez had won, even though AVE FENIX had held more of the ball.
