A collision led to Miguel FC-S.M. del Monte getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Narciso Araoz hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Faustino Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Cordarryl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Libertad in the 22nd minute of play forced Miguel FC-S.M. del Monte's goalkeeper Diego Cordarryl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Miguel FC-S.M. del Monte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Cordarryl should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raul Udalaitz to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Miguel FC-S.M. del Monte's zone, Raul Udalaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Cordarryl came out of the goal and Raul Udalaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diego Cordarryl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Udalaitz in the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Miguel FC-S.M. del Monte's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Udalaitz came free, but Diego Cordarryl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Leizarraga in the 60th minute of play forced Miguel FC-S.M. del Monte's goalkeeper Diego Cordarryl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Lucio Libertad got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Diego Cordarryl quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
