When Santo Jon fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frontera's protests and gave Santo Jon a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Frontera got a freekick which was hit by Santo Jon. Celedonio Lartaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Astor Pancho came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Frontera's Fernando Petrigai. But to his dismay, Fernando Petrigai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ruru's zone, Fernando Petrigai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Pancho came out of the goal and Fernando Petrigai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victorino Tiadoro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Celedonio Lartaun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorino Tiadoro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Celedonio Lartaun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Astor Pancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Laffitte, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Frontera's Victorino Tiadoro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Frontera from getting a goal against them. Alfonso Kemen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Astor Pancho. Ruru's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mariano Sanchez kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaspar Dino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernando Petrigai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Pancho having to interfere. Ruru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Lartaun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
