To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salvador Dominguez charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Dominguez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Puerto Nuevo booed when Ruru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimeno Betadur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Lartaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Gaspar Dino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruru's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Dino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimeno Betadur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the game, Bernardino Ellande was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ruru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Puerto Nuevo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ruru's Bernardino Ellande got a free kick in the 17th minute. A collision led to Ruru getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mariano Sanchez hit a great ball. In the 25th match minute, Ruru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Dominguez to maneuver through the defense. Puerto Nuevo's Jimeno Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Dino in the 29th minute of play. During the 33rd minute of the match Bernardino Ellande completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bernardino Ellande a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 34th match minute, Ruru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Ellande to maneuver through the defense. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Ruru's Celedonio Lartaun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimeno Betadur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Anier Tabb left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Puerto Nuevo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 65 minutes into the match, Puerto Nuevo's goalkeeper Jimeno Betadur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celedonio Lartaun. In the 66th match minute, Puerto Nuevo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Papo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 69 minutes, Celedonio Lartaun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Lartaun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celedonio Lartaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimeno Betadur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Lartaun in the 72nd minute. Evelio Baraquiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jimeno Betadur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gaspar Dino fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ruru's protests and gave Gaspar Dino a yellow card for diving instead. If Gaspar Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Celedonio Lartaun notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Puerto Nuevo's Jimeno Betadur. Jimeno Betadur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anier Tabb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Pancho having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
