Carlos Mino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Bilbo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Marcos Manny reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcelo Tiniebra. The goal made the score 2-0. A collision led to Legionarios getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Domingo Umbruso hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Marcos Manny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Tiniebra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th match minute, Legionarios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Mino to maneuver through the defense. Froilan Etxeberri scored 7-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Tiniebra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Mino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Abelardo Bilbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Tiniebra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Guillen went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the match, Legionarios's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Guillen came free, but Marcelo Tiniebra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Viento Patagonico F.C.'s goalkeeper Abelardo Bilbo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Mino.
