Legionarios's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wendell Conn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorian Moraes got free with Marcelo Tiniebra in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelo Tiniebra made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Severino Ihazintu sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Legionarios's Marcelo Tiniebra got control of the ball when Wendell Conn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Legionarios's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Severino Ihazintu scored to the left of an out of position Marcelo Tiniebra, making the score, 4-0. After having played for 44 minutes, Wendell Conn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguirres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wendell Conn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Tiniebra stood somewhat misplaced when Severino Ihazintu came free in front of goal and shot 5-0 to the left of him in the 48 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apolo Paez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Legionarios's Marcelo Tiniebra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wendell Conn in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Legionarios defense, Severino Ihazintu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Tiniebra. The Legionarios fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Tiniebra should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute, Wendell Conn made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Tiniebra. Legionarios's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Marcelo Tiniebra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Ihazintu in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Ihazintu in the 71st minute of play forced Legionarios's goalkeeper Marcelo Tiniebra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 minutes of play, Aguirres's Iker Nazario made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Tiniebra was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Mino got free with Miro Rohrer in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aguirres's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Carlos Mino scored to the left of an out of position Miro Rohrer, making the score, 12-1. Marcelo Tiniebra came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Aguirres's Timoteo Chico. But to his dismay, Timoteo Chico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-1. Timoteo Chico scored 14-1 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Tiniebra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aguirres walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
