It was a well-played corner which Tadeo Froila managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Polo Quinteros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Polo Quinteros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Tiniebra, 1-0. Thanks to some nice moves Polo Quinteros could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Marcelo Tiniebra however easily saved by the left post. Marcelo Tiniebra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Polo Quinteros went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Legionarios defense, Polo Quinteros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Tiniebra. The Legionarios fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Tiniebra should have stopped the shot. After 40th play minutes Polo Quinteros shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Marcelo Tiniebra and just under the crossbar into goal. Polo Quinteros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Tiniebra having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vlad Enceanu made a kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Polo Quinteros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Fernando Eagles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legionarios the free kick. A collision led to San Fernando Eagles getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Polo Quinteros hit a great ball. Marcelo Tiniebra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlad Enceanu in the 55th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Everardo Pitin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcelo Tiniebra quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. San Fernando Eagles's Bartolo Salvator proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save San Fernando Eagles from getting a goal against them. A collision led to San Fernando Eagles getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. With a left leg Marcelo Tiniebra saved Legionarios from getting behind. 96 minutes into the game, San Fernando Eagles's Polo Quinteros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Tiniebra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. San Fernando Eagles's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
