Agustin Argoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstantinos Pirovolidis in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Gowlan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Artime came free, but Agustin Argoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruperto Sedeni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Agustin Argoitz made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Efrain Trifol got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Agustin Argoitz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 26th minute, Luís Artime left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esparta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. If Luís Artime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Agustin Argoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Artime, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Luís Artime's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustin Argoitz was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After 40 minutes of play, Esparta FC's Ruperto Sedeni made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agustin Argoitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Francisco Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Esparta FC's German Lalla got a free kick in the 44th minute. 47 minutes in the game, Ruperto Sedeni fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Agustin Argoitz having to interfere.

The wind increased when Manuel Gumaro made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Luís Artime ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agustin Argoitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Luís Artime might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agustin Argoitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Artime ran back to his position shaking his head. Gowlan AFC's Agustin Argoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Artime in the 56th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Luís Artime's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustin Argoitz was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. With a left leg Agustin Argoitz saved Gowlan AFC from getting behind. 70 minutes into the match, Gowlan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Artime came free, but Agustin Argoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gowlan AFC's zone, Ruperto Sedeni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agustin Argoitz came out of the goal and Ruperto Sedeni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gowlan AFC's goalkeeper Agustin Argoitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes in the game Carlos Mel did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tomas Abella. Agustin Argoitz came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Esparta FC's Luís Artime. But to his dismay, Luís Artime quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. After a rather tough play, Gowlan AFC's Carlos Mel got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Konstantinos Pirovolidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 minutes, Carlos Mel mouthed his way into the referee's book. When the referee ended the match the Esparta FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
