But to his dismay, Atilano Karlo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Ezkerra in the 6th minute of play forced Cholo Racing Club's goalkeeper Honorio Tulio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorio Tulio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Ezkerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Norberto Ezkerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Honorio Tulio was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Cholo Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Gumaro came free, but Honorio Tulio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Manuel Gumaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cholo Racing Club's zone, Norberto Ezkerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Tulio came out of the goal and Norberto Ezkerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cholo Racing Club's Gabby Aguero got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabby Aguero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Agustin Argoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Manuel Gumaro came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Gowlan AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Gumaro couldn't finish the play. Atilano Karlo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honorio Tulio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Gumaro in the 40th minute of play. Honorio Tulio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Gumaro in the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Gumaro to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Marcos Fix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gowlan AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cholo Racing Club the free kick. After 52 played minutes Gowlan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Fix. The audience was convinced that Atilano Karlo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustin Argoitz was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Gowlan AFC's Agustin Argoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Karlo in the 59th minute of play. Teofilo Tino charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teofilo Tino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cholo Racing Club getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Teofilo Tino hit a great ball. Manuel Gumaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorio Tulio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Honorio Tulio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Gumaro in the 64th minute. The supporters of Gowlan AFC booed when Cholo Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Rolado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute Marcos Fix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Tulio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cholo Racing Club's Gabby Aguero in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agustin Argoitz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Agustin Argoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Karlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Manuel Gumaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofilo Tino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Argoitz having to interfere. Agustin Argoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Karlo in the 96th minute of the match.
