The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of ROSGOL FC booed when Vélez Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Duardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Danilo Tab came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the ROSGOL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Tab couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Vélez Fútbol Club's Esteban José Andrada got control of the ball when Federico Delfino tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dre Wellens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Vélez Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Maria came free, but Esteban José Andrada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match ROSGOL FC got a corner. Vélez Fútbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Danilo Tab ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Vélez Fútbol Club's Damian Diaz got a free kick in the 25th minute. Esteban José Andrada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Maria in the 26th minute of the match. Cristo Bingen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Diaz in the 27th minute of the match. Cristo Bingen came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Vélez Fútbol Club's Damian Diaz. But to his dismay, Damian Diaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mustafa Ali Tanyel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban José Andrada having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damian Diaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ROSGOL FC's goalkeeper Cristo Bingen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, ROSGOL FC's Mustafa Ali Tanyel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteban José Andrada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ROSGOL FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Danilo Tab in the 67th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Vélez Fútbol Club's goalie and right to Miguel Bizen. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Vélez Fútbol Club's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mauricio Jakobe's late challenge caught a ROSGOL FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauricio Jakobe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th minute, Mauricio Jakobe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vélez Fútbol Club's Zacarias Evangelista was substituted for Dre Wellens. Vélez Fútbol Club made a substitution. Braulio Oliverio replaced Reynaldo Cefero. A collision led to Vélez Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Mauricio Jakobe hit a great ball. Vélez Fútbol Club's Esteban José Andrada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geronimo Maria in the 84th minute of play. ROSGOL FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Vélez Fútbol Club for a fine match.
