Jeremias Pudes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aldo Etxeberri. Lepra's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 41st minute, Eustaquio Benat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Etxeberri was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 46th minute Eustaquio Benat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Lepra defense, Clodoveo Rivero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aldo Etxeberri. The Lepra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aldo Etxeberri should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clodoveo Rivero made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Timoteo Tipi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Etxeberri was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After a defensive mix-up in Lepra's zone, Clodoveo Rivero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Etxeberri came out of the goal and Clodoveo Rivero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Clodoveo Rivero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aldo Etxeberri. That made the score 0-8 in the 60 minute of play. Aldo Etxeberri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eulalio Playo's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Lepra's Aldo Etxeberri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Lepra from getting a goal against them. Feliberto Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Feliberto Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Feliberto Barbosa hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 73 minutes in the game, Clodoveo Rivero fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aldo Etxeberri having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Rivero in the 73rd minute of play forced Lepra's goalkeeper Aldo Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Fantosy got a corner. Lepra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Timoteo Tipi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Timoteo Tipi made a great header on Fantosy's corner, it was just that Lepra's Aldo Etxeberri managed to reach the ball for a save.
